Bikkur Cholim I

Visit an elderly, homebound resident of our community on an ongoing basis, every few weeks.  Develop a relationship – make a difference in their lives as well as your own.

Bikkur Cholim II

Join a group of volunteers visiting the sick in Lawrence Hospital, in coordination with the hospital’s Pastoral Care Department. Groups will go together every few weeks, on Shabbat afternoon or at other times to be determined.  Two training sessions will be provided prior to the initial visit.

Chai Lifeline collection

During the first few months of the year, we will be collecting toys, hats, gloves, etc. for sick Jewish children, to be donated to the wonderful organization Chai Lifeline.  Please deposit items in the box near the front door of the shul.  Remember to include items appropriate for teenagers as well as younger children.

BLOOD DRIVE

Give up the red stuff to those in need! Next Blood drive December 23rd 2007. In coordination with the NY Blood Center and Fleetwood Neighborhood Association.
